Today I went to an old slaughterhouse, that is currently being torn down.

Paul Banks blues concert

Yesterday I was at a Paul Banks concert. They played some great moody blues music. Here are some images.

It was a dud

Too bad. Had to return the lense today. The left side was a complete blur, so I returned it today.

The above shot is a F/2.8. The blur clears up above F/8, but that doesn't really make much of a difference.

Whoops I did it again

Yesterday I saw that my photo shop had a used 28-70mm F/2.8L lense in the window. So naturally I went home and had a look if their price was reasonable - and it was. I have been looking for a walk-around replacement for my 28-135 IS USM with a better overall quality. I had decided that I would save up for the 24-105 F/4L IS USM - but this was less than half the price of the new lense, and a stop faster, but without quite the same range and IS.

So today I took the lense for a walk, to see if it how it was, and if it was ok. Beside a few scratches on the lens hood, it was perfect. Good range, good AF speed and very sharp from F/4 and up. So I got a good price, a UV filter and took the lense. And here are some of the pictures from the walk:

Mouse on Mars concert

Yesterday Mouse on Mars visited Aalborg. They played along with two local supporting acts, Kiloton, who opened the show with a great laid-back electro. After that played Jab Mich och El, with a very playful and melodic act.

Mouse on Mars then entered the stage and really kicked it up a gear, with some of their best songs, including the best from my favorite MoM album, Radical Connector. It was a great set - their only problem was that they probably started out with a bit too much volume, so for the next five or six songs, it seemed like the volume was gradually turned down - that killed a bit of the mood. But the music was really great.

I tried not to spend too much time with my camera, but I got some shots anyway. Here you go:
