Marine museum part 1 - Stock.

Yesterday Helle and I was at Aalborg Marine Museum. We both got a lot of great pictures, and a lot of them were great for stock.

Here are the ones I've uploaded:

Tomorrow, I'll post some of the pictures that were great, but not stock material.

Walk in the forest

I recieved a vertical grip, a 50mm F/1.8 and another 1GB CF card today. So naturally it had to be tested out. My girlfriend tested our 50mm, which we bought together, so I gave the grip a good run for it's money.

It was great fun. All images are with the Sigma 1.4.

Fire in Aalborg

Yesterday a fire broke out at Aalborg Portland. It was in a huge pile of plastic garbage, so it created a LOT of smoke. We went around a bit and got a few pictures of it from various angles.

Later in the evening I could still see the smoke and the flames from where I live, so I put the camera on a tripod, and got some more photos. Here you go:

Macro Tests pt. 2

Here are a few more shots, I got while I had borrowed the macro lense. All in all I'm pretty impressed by the lens. There are some issues on construction, but thats to be expected at the price range.

Optically it was very impressive, as I mentioned yesterday. I only encountered one problem during the week I had it. The copy I had borrowed had an extreme tendency to flare. Not single flares, but when shooting into a bright light, it lights up the entire image very much. It's easy to spot, but it limits the general usage of the lense.

But overall I was very impressed by the lense, when comparing it to the price tag. Here are a few more shot I got:

And here is an example of the flare:
