Wiiiide angle
I was by the local Camera store today, and noticed they had a 10-20mm Sigma in store. I borrowed it for a few minutes and went just outside the store to shoot some snapshots. Man that thing is wide!
It seems like a very good lense. Flare seem well controlled, CA is acceptable, and the corner softness is as you can expect. This lense really opens up a room. The clear blue sky also emphazied how difficult it is to properly expose shots that wide. Definately a lense that stays at the top of my to-buy list.

More Zoo shots
Winter time isn't the best of photo times, so there hasn't been an overwhelmingly number of good photo days. I've done a few stock photos that turned out pretty well, but that aside, not much photography. But today I had a day off from work, and since the weather was great I went on a walk in the zoo.
I had borrowed my girlfriends new 70-300 IS USM, and I must say it's an impressive priece of glass you get for your money - a little gem for us, who don't quite have the finances or the muscles for a 70-200 F2.8 IS USM. It has very decent sharpness wide open, and the IS works wonders. AF is a bit slow at times, but works great for most situations.
